Legendary Santa - 2013

This is the first picture with Santa where both kids are smiling (no crying Ainsleigh)!  Thanks to our friends, the Johnakins, we planned a fun morning at the Children's Museum & visit with the Legendary Santa.  We were one of the first families in line and were able to experience Santa coming down the chimney and meeting the Snow Queen.  What a truly magical experience!  Guess we can add this to our family traditions beginning this year.

Ian got the opportunity to spend an entire day on the Gibson Farm with "Big Ian" - a family friend.  Between meeting "Tony" (pictured above), climbing trees, swimming, and Mrs. Gibson's homemade cooking - it was a great day just being a "boy!"

Soccer - Part 1

Ainsleigh & Emily decided to give the sport of soccer a try this summer. Each Saturday brought a range of emotions - sometimes fun and laughter and other times tears and fear. At the end of the 6 weeks, Ainsleigh said she wanted to play again...we will see.

Anna Maria Island - Summer 2013

We spent a wonderful week on Anna Maria Island with Gigi, Papa, & the Johnakin family!  We were blessed with a visit with our Talbott cousins and Aunt Nancy & Uncle Steve too!  Just sharing a few of our memories...

Fun at Disney!

Fourth of July!!

The crazy people we are decided to surprise the kids with a day at Walt Disney World on the 4th of July. The Johnakin family joined us for vacation this year and our first stop was Orlando, FL. It was HOT and packed with 75,000 people!!  We will definitely plan better in the future - but memories were made!

Swim Team

Ian joined the Mechanicsville Marlins Swim Team this summer. He loves to swim but wasn't too keen on the daily practices. All of his hard work paid off because he won his heat and shaved seconds off his time during the last meet of the season.

Field trip to Maymont

Ian's kindergarten class took a field trip to Maymont Park. I had the opportunity to attend as a chaperone and enjoyed spending the day with our little guy and his friends. Weather was perfect as was the company!!
